Vishwakarma Technical Institute is named after “Vishwakarma” — the god of skill or Architect of the World. It was initiated by the Ramgarhia Sabha, a social organisation of the Ramgarhia craftsmen community who believe in the power of skill, machines and technology.
Ramgarhia Sabha was formed as early as 1912. They started Vishwakarma Technical School with the idea of producing skilled manpower with draughtsmanship ability. It helped local youth get employment and helped existing workers develop better skills.
Later trades like Electrician, Fitter, Radio & T.V. Mechanic, Plumber, Refrigeration & A.C. were introduced to meet industry and society needs for skilled craftsmen.
Since 2005 the Society (Ramgarhia Sabha) aligned with the Government’s initiatives to implement NCVT courses, and transformed the “school” into a private ITI. With collective effort, the institute received sanction to run ITI trades: Fitter, Electrician and Draughtsman (Mechanical). Sanction Ref No DGET-6/34/7/2005-TC dated 08/02/2006. The number of units in Fitter was later increased to 8 (4+4) w.e.f. August 2012.
We take pride in offering both practical and theoretical training — trainees from Vishwakarma are employable and many have found work both inside and outside the country.
VTI–ITI is committed to imparting top-quality skill training in Fitter and Electrical trades. With experienced faculty, advanced classrooms, laboratories, and workshops, we aim to nurture industry-ready professionals through technical excellence and holistic development.
